Great Plain's / Minnesota Storm Chase April 13-16, 2012
We drove over 3000 miles in 4 days. We chased in Central, OK on Friday April 13 where we had a visual on a tornado near Pink, OK. The following day we chased the SPC High Risk day in Southwestern and Central Kansas. We saw about 3-4 tornadoes touchdown and a ton of funnel clouds. We ended up abandoning the storm of the day which produced a long-track EF4 wedge tornado near Salina, KS. Dr. Brown almost drove his car in a creek after letting that storm go. All-in-all, I have a great time with Blake Naftel, Dr. Brown, and Dr. Kiesling.
